HOW MUCH WILL MY WEDDING FLOWERS COST?

No two wedding cost exactly the same. That’s why we like to know the details of what you’re after before we provide a quote. Let us know the quantities you are after, as well as the style and colour scheme. This way we won’t waste your time quoting you for 7 white and blush table centrepieces when you actually wanted 50 red roses in bud vases.

A typical P&P wedding costs $3000 - $7000.

What we charge depends on what you want. No one size fits all, we know that can be frustrating when trying to accurately budget. We are happy to discuss your options and give multiple tailored quotes to suit your style and budget. Most weddings we do have a lower end of $3000, and that includes people flowers, ceremony flowers, and reception flowers.

CAN YOU ITEMISE MY QUOTE?

No, sorry! We only offer a total price. We can’t buy flowers by the stem, only by the bunch or bucket. So we find it’s cheaper to work out the total flowers needed across your wedding and then add on our other charges such as mileage and labour.

What Is The Process?

STEP ONE: Get in touch by filling out the form here. It will likely take at least one week, but we will be in touch with a quote based on the info you’ve provided (unless we really need more, we’ll email you if so). If you are happy with the quote then let us know you want to lock it in. If you aren’t happy with the quote then let us know what you’d like to change; sometimes we can misinterpret what you’ve requested, or we’ve had to fill in blanks like the number of bridesmaids or the style of table flowers. We will provide an updated quote. Hopefully we nail it but it’s no abnormal to revise and refine over time.

STEP TWO: Secure your booking. You must let us know if you want to lock in your quote. We will be over the moon and send you through a 20% deposit invoice as well as our booking form. This form has heaps of important info. If we do not hear from you we will assume you didn’t want to proceed. We work on a first come first served basis. After you’ve paid your deposit and returned the form you can relax knowing that we have it covered.

STEP THREE: Approximately four-two months out from your wedding (depending on the demand for your flower varieties) we will be in touch to get the remaining balance. At this stage we can edit the quote again as things often change over time. We’ll balance the total against the deposit paid. After you’ve paid the full amount we will order any flowers that require preordering.

STEP FOUR: Wedding! Make sure you reread your quote, we treat this as a kind of to-do list. In the details section will be important info about the day-of. We usually deliver to one address on the morning to deliver the bouquets and buttonholes. The we go to the venue/s to set up!

STEP FIVE: Post wedding. You’ll need to return any items that you’ve hired from us. This will be outlined on your quote. We love to hear your feedback, good or bad (but especially good, lets be honest). If you were happy with our florals then please let us know by leaving us a google or Facebook review. Your referrals help us stay in business so recommending us to other brides is the greatest form of thanks we could ask for, but we are more than happy with the satisfaction of a job well done.

Preserved Flowers

Will they really last forever?

While we would love to say yes, the answer is, kind of. We can’t guarantee that anything will last forever. We do everything we can to ensure these will last for years and years and years. However there’s so many things that could cause your frames pieces to be damaged. Exposure to harsh sunlight will continue to dry them out (yasss) but then if they are moved again they will be extra brittle and little tiny bits could fragment away. If they experience any water damage they could go mouldy and if they are stored in a damp location they could get water damaged. In our ideal world, our pieces would be placed in moderate/bright sunlight, in an airy, dry space and never moved.

Why do they take so long to complete?

We want to be extra certain that all moisture is removed. When we frame them, everything about them is locked in. That includes any sneaky water hiding in the flowers. This could cause condensation within the frame resulting in mould as there is nowhere for it to escape.

Why are flowers so expensive?

I know :( and it wasn’t always like this. While flowers have never been cheap, they’ve never been this expensive. Prior to COVID-19, I would pay approximately $25.30 for 10 stems of perfect quality roses. Now I pay around $42. If I was a billionaire I’d eat that cost so all brides could enjoy their dream wedding florals. In most industries, your product cost should only be around 1/3 of your actual charge. Can you imagine paying $126 for 10 stems of roses? No florist is able to charge the same markup that most industries can and yet we are still seen as selling expensive product.

Lockdown caused less flowers to be imported and many flower farms to have to shut down. Conversely, it also caused a huge backlog of weddings and a boom in proposals. The demand skyrocketed and supply was almost destroyed. You’re left with flowers simply going to the highest bidder.

I’m hopeful that in a few more years our industry will stabilise and prices will settle.
